James L. Reese, shareholder and attorney with Ward, Murray, Pace & Johnson, P.C., recently participated in the National Public Employer Labor Relations Association (NPELRA) Academy covering the subject of the arbitration process for public employers and their employees. The Academy provided training and education in grievance processing, investigation and case preparation, evidentiary standards and objections, advocacy techniques, standards applicable to just cause requirements and variances related to interest arbitration. Mr. Reese has been City Attorney for the City of Rock Falls since 1981, and provides representation in labor and employment matters as a portion of his practice with the Sterling law firm.
