Mr. Ward earned his law degree from the University of Illinois in 1955, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and Phi Delta Phi. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois in 1953 with a major in economics. Bar Admissions & Associations
Mr. Ward was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1955. He is also admitted to the United States Tax Court. He is a member of the American, Illinois State, Whiteside County, and Chicago bar associations. Mr. Ward is the editor of Ward on Title Examinations published by the Illinois Institute for Continuing Education. He has written and lectured extensively for Illinois Bar and the Institute in the Real Estate and Estate Planning areas. Mr. Ward has served as past Chairman of Probate and Trust Section Council, Real Estate Section Council, and Corporation and Securities Section Council of the Illinois State Bar Association. He was elected a Fellow with the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel in 1970 and is currently a member of the Business Planning and Transfer Tax Study Committees of that organization. Mr. Ward was named a "Best Lawyer in America" in the area of trusts and estates in the "Best Lawyers in America" 2003-2004 edition.
