Practice Emphasis Areas:

Attorney Rick Palmer's practice emphasis area is civil litigation, including commercial, personal injury, medical and professional negligence, and contested estates.

Education

Mr. Palmer earned his law degree from the University of Illinois in 1976, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif. He earned a M.S. degree from the University of Illinois in 1973 and a B.S. degree from the University of Illinois in 1972, where he graduated with highest honors.

Bar Admissions & Associations

Mr. Palmer was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1976. He is also admitted to the United States District Court - Northern and Central Districts of Illinois, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. He is a member of the Illinois State and Whiteside County bar associations. In addition, he is a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association and the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association.

Mr. Palmer served as an Editor to the University of Illinois Law Forum, 1975-76. He has been active in the Illinois State Bar Association, including serving as a member of the Civil Practice and Procedure Section Council, 1987-90, and the Tort Law Section Council, 1994-2000. He has been a lecturer at Illinois State Bar Association Continuing Legal Education Programs.
